I laughed, I cried, I predicted and was right and was still somehow surprised. The Mateo and Rufus mentions slightly healed me. Listened to the audiobook for some of it and just yes. Also the little side plot with the old man and how it all tied together…masterpiece

An interesting origin story of Death Cast, having read “they both die at the end” quite a long time ago, I think there were some references that went over my head that I would have noticed if I had read it more recently.
These books always feel a little heavy handed with their message of living in the moment and not taking life for granted, but they’re always an enjoyable read despite that.

this book was so much better than they both die in the end in my opinion. and so so so so so so much sadder. after reading it i just stared at my wall for a good minute. just like the first book, i always love how everyone is always somehow connected. the little parts with rufus and mateo are just everything. the premise of one of them dying and not both of them hurts so much more omg. AND THE HEART SURGERY TOO. Valentino died a hero. i can’t

How is it that you know exactly what will happen at the end and it still rips your heart out?!?! I felt my chest tighten at every chapter and I love the way Adam Silvera writes characters. But man, these books are beautiful yet painful.
