Of course I cried with this one, was that even in question? Before I started this one, I found myself thinking that this might be repetitive, but I’m happy to say I was wrong. This was a completely different take on the death-cast world, getting to see it from day one. I really enjoyed following Valentino and Orion around on the death-day adventures. I really love how they fit so much life into 24 hours. 

I was so happy that we got cameos from young Rufus and Mateo, their families and lives before their book - that was such a nice touch. Also, seeing how all the side characters lives were connecting was so interesting.

Nice prequel to the first book. I enjoyed it, but pretty predictable.
