Great concept. Executed well. This book will have young readers turning the pages to find out what Fip will disappear next.

Be warned: There are moments of laughter and moments of heartache in this memorable tale.

I'm currently going through my elementary school logs and adding all my books. I don't remember several of them, but I remember this book being a very entertaining read!

I love this book, even though it’s a tiny bit slow in places.

Excellent story about the power of words. Great for lessons on dealing with peer pressure & bullying.

Fip is a magical word eating worm. Lerner is at a new school and struggling to fit in. This unlikely pair team up with some interesting results. Great for discussing consequences to behavior.

this is my least favorite book ever. the ending was really bad.

Cute little story that could provoke some good discussion. A girl finds a worm who eats written words, but when he does those words disappeared in the real world. It starts off small, with all of the thumbtacks disappearing, but when the kids at school try to make the whole school disappear, something must be done.
