I liked this quite a bit; fit my beach reading needs well! There is a lot going on here with many characters and lots of twists and turns. Kept me very engaged throughout.

I'm not fond of books that preach about issues. This is one of them.

While I liked the writing style and thought there was a good underlining story to tell this novel had way too much going on and stretched the lines of credibility and believability just a little too far. There were plots within plots that just didn't ring true or had you shaking your head in disbelief or at how incredibly stupid the main character, a supposedly smart reporter actually was. Also I have never in a single book seen so many adult characters act like teenagers. Seriously the few teens in the story acted more adult then all the adults did.
Wendy, a single mom and tabloid journalist thinks she is doing top-notch reporting by entrapping pedophiles. Then she outs/catches a man who has dedicated his life to helping underprivileged kids. From there she is soon wrapped up in his murder after she witnesses a father of a supposed victim shoot him. But she can't prove it so she starts to dig (which she should have done a long time ago) and finds out she may have set up an innocent man. From there she gets involved with a conspiracy and scandals surrounding him and his old college friends. Added to the mix for good measure is a missing teenage girl who may or may not have been linked to the murdered man, a story Wendy is also looking into.
