Yo... this book was amazing. Very weird and slow, but I loved that sisterly bond Noemí and Catalina had. Noemí is my favorite heroine right now. Also LOVED how the themes of colorism,eugenics, and colonalism was woven into the story. Amazing.

Such a good read to kick off spooky season.

Side note: somebody send this book to Stevie Nicks because it’s SO her vibe and while reading it I kept imagining what songs inspired by it she would be coming up with. I’m here for it.

bored me for the first half, there were hints of what might happen but not quite enough to keep my on the edge of my seat or anything, but the second half was so good it more than made up for it
