A little slow in places and predictable but a nice feel good story. I could relate to Nina and her love of books. I loved all the references to books and the way Nina's thoughts are so real- the things we would never say out loud. It's great to have so many characters that are nerds and proud.

Nina Hill is an only child of a mom who was rarely in her life and an absentee father. Her "aunt" cared for her most often. Books were her one escape into a world where she fit in. No surprise that she grew up to be an introverted librarian. The whopper of a surprise is that her deceased father has left her something in his will , plus an assortment of siblings! I really enjoyed watch Nina navigate the familial waters while also struggling to maintain her first relationship. A very good read.

I listened to it. I think I would’ve been even more bored if I read it. Nothing happened.

More of a romance than I expected, but all in all a perfectly okay bookshop love story.

I will not refer to this as anything other then a general contemporary fiction cause I hate the other term.
This was delightful! I really loved it. It's a bit of a drawn out story about Nina Hill's life and finding out a lot of things she didn't realize. Overall I just really enjoyed reading about Nina's life. She's quirky but it all kind of works out in a way that doesn't feel manic pixie dream girl or overly done.
This is just such a delight and so fun! It has a HFN ending at the very least but the story is focused on her relationships with family and self more than the romantic elements.
