Quick easy reading

Rather typical mystery/love story: girl escaping a hidden past, meets a guy she's afraid to trust, throw in pursuit of a dream, making music. Not much depth or comp!exity, but enjoyable as an easy read. Dolly Parton's voice comes through in the music lyrics.

Review:
This was only the 2nd Novel ive read by James Patterson and while this one was better then "The Beach House" it still lacked story building in Chapters 19-29 where NOTHING happened just alot of back and forth between 3 Characters which made it very boring and had NO Thriller aspects were in it.

On a sidenote, i did enjoy the story consept taken from Dolly Parton Real Life Journey to Country Music Stardom.

The Characters were fun and interesting to read about. AnnieLee and Ruthanna were definately my favorites since they reminded me alot of Abc's Nashville Tv Show.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Nashville, Tennessee while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall an OK Contemporary Thriller but wished there was more Thriller aspects to it. I will read more by James in the future but hope its better then "The Beach House" and this one was.

I was interested in the beginning but I feel there was a lot of filler that’s was not need. It wasn’t until like the last 3 chapters it gets interesting and you finally get what is going on. I think it’s weird that Annie Lee just didn’t tell them what was going on so they could have helped. The ending should have been the middle and then there should have been more about taking down that bad guys and her and Ethan.

This is not the usual James Patterson book
but I loved it
It was fun listening to something different
Why does every book have to be the same change it up a little.
I enjoyed the voice of Ethan Blake and look forward to more book read by him.

I love anything Dolly Parton, and the fact that she wrote an entire flipping album for this book is incredible. I think there was a lot of build up and the ending was rushed (like last 10 pages explain it all rushed). But I think it’ll make a great movie, so I’m excited for the adaptation to come!
