This was my first James Patterson read - but if I’m being honest I picked it because of Queen Dolly. I really enjoyed this story! It read like a movie and the accompanying soundtrack was just icing on the cake. 4/5 ⭐️!
I'm sorry to say I didn't really care for this one. I love love love Dolly Parton, and that's the only reason I stuck it out. I listened to the audio version in which she is one of the cast of narrators. But the narration felt disjointed and I didn't like it. Also, the story was just so-so.

I want to punch people who dwell on someone's height. Annie Lee is supposed to be 5'2" in the book. I am 5'2". I am not constantly told I am small and I do not freak out if I hear it once in a while. That bugged the shit out of me.

Loved the audio and story was great! The ending was kind of insane and unbelievable, especially the way Rose just…got over it.
A good read and a quick read, but also a bit predictable and derivative of other stories. Rise to stardom is always fun, but Daisy Jones was better! Save Haven was a better read in terms of escaping an abusive marriage. But I did love experiencing this book alongside a full album from Dolly!
Truly wild potpourri of a story. Very entertaining audio book!

It’s been a while since I’ve read James Patterson, and who can resist the charms of Dolly Parton! A sweet and bumpy ride before the intensity takes a sharp climb to a too-easy (compared to real life) resolution. Still an enjoyable read!
