3.5 stars. I really enjoyed how each story bled into the next. All the characters connect in small or big ways, and I loved how such simple stories make you stop and remember how truly connected we all are. I do wish we had each character for longer, but for such a tiny book, it packs a punch.
i think having so many different stories and characters can be a hard direction to a take a book and i think this book is so different. i didn’t have time to get to know the characters and understand the flow. it wasn’t the worst but not the best. at least it was short? 2.5

But each chapter flows into one another to show the connection we have as people and how a single event can affect not just the people closest to the time and place of the event but it can affect someone on the other side of the world. A wonderful collection of brief glimpses into lives that could have gone on forever, taking us around the world but never straying too far from the heart.
cool idea, poor execution. some of the writing felt slightly racist - mentions of ethnicity/race/religion where not very relevant.

Liked the conceit but didn’t really find much more than that in here. A nice way to pass a plane ride.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF CHAPTER TWO?!? This was the one chapter that didn’t have enough of an ending for me.
3.5 stars. A quick, concise read - about travel and connections that hits home a bit more now than it may have previously.
