I re-read this novel for my Creative Writing module because I thought it was an interesting dip into what makes us human, what makes family tick, how secrets can ruin lives. It didn't disappoint.

“So first, I pray that there is a God. Then I pray that Vin had a soul. Then I pray for God to allow Vin’s soul to rest.”

Wow this was amazing. Top tier writing with this hauntingly beautiful art style. Really asks the question: what is it to be human?

God this was a fucked up little microcosm of suburbia

This is my reread of Vision. Again, I am stunned. It's raw and tragic. It anatomically locates your emotion, pulls it out of your chest and asks you to inspect it. For characters without pupils, it asks you to see through those eyes, then points toward your own and asks how much does it resemble humanity's? Such a beautiful and unnerving story.

Wow- an excellent, horrifying, and cutting examination of humanity. This was truly compelling writing. King made me care about characters about whom I've typically given zero cares. This makes other storylines I've been enjoying all the more meaningful (Champions, Runaways 2018).
