Interestingly, though I didn't plan it this way, this book is yet another chick-lit romance after my previous read being Coldhearted Boss. And more interesting still, I have almost the same comments to make. Namely, that the writing was competent, the plot was interesting (with a nice take on the Amnesia trope), the humour was ok, the characters were not perfect but had charm.

It would have rated on par with Coldhearted Boss, if the following aspects had been tackled:

Spoiler

This book really had me hooked from the very beginning. I went into the book following on from ‘The London Mister’ series and then following on from the first book in the ‘Billionaires In Charge’ series and I was taken back by the plot twist. Unusual to anything I’ve read before and I literally couldn’t put the book down!

I have to say Rosa has quickly become one of my favourite authors. Her books have relatable MMC/FMC and have so much humour i find myself laughing out loud and also crying.

A fantastic book and I throughly recommend this series and all her other books!!!

Please hurry up and publish more Rosa!!!!

I devoured this book. I was a bit confused in the beginning - was finding it difficult to get through as we really built up the wtf-ery of Lucy’s amnesia. But once it picked up omg it picked up.

This book made me so.sad. lol and took the miscommunication trope almost to its end.

But I absolutely devoured it and would recommend if you need a fast read.

Do you know EXACTLY how everything plays out? Yes. Yes you do. If you’re into red herrings and plot twists this isn’t for you. You can ping almost every detail very early on, but it’s still emotional and entertaining.

This book was heavier than Rosa’s other books but still had the humor I love her for. The characters and emotions felt super realistic and I had a tough time putting this one down. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I wanted to see the build up to JP and Lucy’s initial relationship and we didn’t get much of that.

loved!

Oh my gosh! I just loved this book. I love how realistic it was about the dreams after losing her memories I love how we saw that she was continuing to go to therapy to try to find her memories and not just letting life happen to her. I hated how, JP handled things, while knowing it was the recommended way to handle things. I loved how JP tried to make up for it at the end.

slow-paced

The story was ok. I felt that, for the length, the romance should have been better developed as well as the groveling and character development. Everything was a bit meh. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't a favorite.

Really enjoyed this one, more than I expected. I found it when I was in the mood for an office romance, so it really hit the spot. It was easy to read and funny too!
