Guilty pleasure read. Did I stay up until 1:00 am finishing this book? Yes. I didn’t want to love this type of book as much as I did.....but this trashy thriller was very enjoyable. Don’t read this book if you like turtles.

This book was similar to The Housemaid but the ending was different. I have an e-ARC for the sequel and I'm interested in the next book.

This was a fast read with three main characters. Husband, wife, and home-wrecker. Amber is the home wrecker and a self-avowed woman on a mission. Motivated mostly by her wish to be tremendously wealthy, Amber is determined to steal Jackson Parrish away from his beautiful wife, Daphne. It seems so easy…until it’s not.

Although this has been termed as a psychological thriller, I didn't find it as such. There was plenty of bad people plotting but the "thriller" element was lacking. Everything was pre-calculated with master plans that you could see coming for the most part. But a fun read that had me turning the pages quickly!

The book did manage to keep my interest through to the end but it was a struggle at times due to the extremely unlikeable characters and the intense and unrelenting abuse. I did like the last part of the book which was from Daphne’s perspective. It was nice to see everyone get what they deserved.
