I love when these romance books get a little dark. It makes the male main character so much more attractive.
The plot in this book is very well done, I just wish there had been a couple of more chapters about Bridget getting her life back.

Excellent book to listen to.

Ash sees Bridget in the crowd at a hockey game and tries to get her number. He is enamored with her and has continued searching the crowd at every home game since.

Then he gets injured, ends up in the hospital, and finds Bridget as his nurse.

Bridget is a full-time student & a nurse at the local hospital. At the beginning of the story, she is a man who is abusive, but mid-way through, they break up. This same man applies & ends up being the assistant GM to the Wildcat Hockey team.

This story was riveting.
I was ready to kick the ex-bfs ass the whole dang book. The fact that Ash didn't kick his ass was mildly disappointing.
I loved Bridg - she was spunky, kind, sweet, thoughtful, and determined. I love that her character didn't fall flat as soon as she & Ash got together.
I adore Ash - his volunteer work, protectiveness, the way he handles his fans. I loved Ash when he was a secondary character in everyone else's story - He's funny, strong, incredibly thoughtful, and so friggin sweet. I enjoyed that he didn't rush Bridg but gently got to know her and he built a repor so she would give him a key through her walls, he didn't have to knock them down, he infiltrated & became an ally. I so thoroughly enjoyed it.

The way the boys came together to 'defeat' the ass-istant GM / douche canoe ex-boyfriend was just fun. I love seeing them all come together
