this felt like such an accurate representation of what it's like to be alive right now, particularly as someone in your early 30s. the circularity, the navel gazing, the obsession with connection and social media, along with the timeless foci on grief, death, relationships. this honestly felt like i was reading a limited series on HBO or a movie by celine song. fingers crossed it gets turned into one of those :D

This has just the right blend of humor and thoughtfulness, with commentary on influencer/"thought leader" culture against the backdrop of grief. Really enjoyed this one; it's a quick, propulsive read that's not too heavy! Great if you liked Julie Chan is Dead but wanted something with a bit more of a bite to it.
