Ohitika Woman is a sequel to Lakota woman and as such it goes into more insight into the life of Mary Brave Bird as well as into the lives of other Native Americans. It was interesting to hear her struggle with alcohol and how she was able to overcome it. She also shares her experience from the set of the Doors film directed by Oliver Stone. I’m glad I read this after reading the first book as I feel a lot of the topics that were brushed off were addressed in more detail. I would recommend both books.
