This book is absolutely not for the feint hearted. Clearly a well thought out book, and fairly well written but boy did I not enjoy a moment of reading it

This dystopia is bleak. Like I've heard people say The Road by Cormac McCarthy was bleak and depressing, which it is, but not as much as this novel. But...it does get better.

idk, like this portrays a dark future filled with violence and despicable human acts. But it also shows hope in such a world.

The Earthseed and religious aspects of it all could have been left out in my opinion. There was plenty of humanity in the book without all the philosophizing.

So, I liked the setting, the audacious speculation, the actual plot, but not so much the rest of it.
