A loopy and improbable book that I enjoyed a great deal. Horrid parents, wonderful krakens, mermaids, selkies, aunts, and a variety of children are part of the story.
In another world I would be more sympathetic to Lambert.

This book was hilarious and sentimental at the same time. An enjoyable read for any age.

Loved it- it's geared toward the preteen set, but it just made me feel like I was 12. In the best way.

Gift for one of the nieces. Delightful story of mysterious creatures, awesome aunts, and kids that just need the right kind of attention. Really enjoyed it--hope she does too!

A fun and light read, a great read aloud. Still very British, still a smacking of Roald Dahl and Harry Potter.
