I’m so pumped that Captain Marvel is back in print. Wait, I’ve probably said that already, haven’t I? Well, it hasn’t changed!
So between this issue and the last I looked up the antagonist, and fun fact! He’s an established villain. He’s from Fantastic Four – something I didn’t know since I haven’t read all/most of their catalog (yet). I don’t know why, but I found this absolutely hilarious. I guess it’s the idea that a.) this guy can be used in so many series and b.) that he’s so perfect for this plot.
This guy is one of those villains that you love to hate. Every punch he takes is so satisfying, while every comment from his mouth just makes you wish that you could take a swing at him. Sure, he isn’t subtle, and thus any plot surrounding him isn’t subtle, but who cares?
I absolutely loved the cameos in this issue. They were badass on the whole, but a couple of them were simply hilarious. It was perfectly done. I’m looking forward to the next issue!
