I couldn't finish this fast enough. It was a bunch of bs and obviously not true diary pages written by a 15 year old girl in the 70s. It sounded more like an adult trying to scare people about drugs and using language from the 50s.  I'm sorry but you were given lsd unknowingly, had a great trip and then went on to heroin and pot with Crack? I don't think so.

This book is not real, it's poorly written to convey a child and completely unrealistic in how fast things happened and how this child would have reacted or handled all the drugs she was taking. Plus the language and the maturity that was given was just nails on a chalkboard....again, it was an adult writing like they were a teen.

Lastly the ending...she just mysteriously died? Pft.

This book belongs in the trash, how it was published and everyone ate this garbage is beyond me.

Don't waste your time.

I read this book when I was 17 because my mom wanted me to in a scared-straight kind of way. Would definitely recommend, and I will probably reread it again now

Read as research. Parts of the diary rang true to me; other parts did not.

honestly the book is good but it’s kind of a hard read, by the time you get to it you don’t realize how heavy this book is until you notice it.  it’s well written just be prepared for the topics and the events that take place in the story. crazy ending as well.

I was really into the story until I did research on the author and the background of this story. Afterwards, my enthusiasm dropped and I felt like I just needed to finish it... Hope disappointing...

SYNOPSIS:
This book is a true story about a girl who finds herself trapped in a world full of drugs. At first the main character is a good student and a wonderful daughter but after getting a cup with LSD in it at a party, her life becomes a downward spiral and eventually becomes complete chaos.

REVIEW:
At the beginning of the novel I felt like I related a lot to the main character, I felt that her personality was similar to mine and to a lot of other teenagers. She has certain thoughts that we think, certain feelings that we have, and just like a lot of teenagers, she's curious. Even after she started getting sucked into drugs she still seemed like a nice person who truly didn't want to hurt her family. Over the course of the book her life becomes very chaotic and I feel so bad for her, especially how he felt as if no one was there for her and she had no one to talk to except her diary. It's a very detailed, deep, and often dark tale and you really get to know who this girl is without even knowing her name. You begin to feel for her, you begin to think of her as like a friend. This novel was amazing but I was very sad about the epilogue, I just felt like the last sentence in it wasn't fair and wasn't right to have put in there but I'm not going to give anything away so your going to have to read the book yourself to understand why I felt that way and what it is.

AGE RATING AND RECOMMENDED TO:
This is a very dark book so I recommend it to those who are 14 and over and who are okay with reading "heavy" books.
