A hauntingly beautiful world and beautifully haunted characters. The art can be simple, but conveys enough depth and emotion that you easily get a sense of how each character feels at any given moment (and some of them don’t even have proper faces). I honestly can’t wait to read the next volume to have more of the mystery of Shiva and Teacher’s world unraveled.
Also, this deluxe edition itself is simply gorgeous and shines on any bookshelf.

However, I'm someone who needs a faster pace and more thrills & chills.
There's nothing wrong with this series. It's pretty good and at times creepy. But it didn't wow me in any other way than the illustration. So, at the end of the day, it gets a 3.
I found myself unmotivated to continue with the series, which isn't a good sign in manga.

I've put off reading this series for a long time, but after finding the deluxe edition, I decided why not?
It's everything I hoped it to be. Dark fairytale in its storytelling and art. I love the art style and the pure relationship between Shiva and Teacher.
