I have a weakness for cozy murder mysteries, and when someone offered to lend me a couple of these books I just couldn't say no. We follow Daisy as a newlywed, embarking on a ship to America, in the 1920s. In the same vein as the Aurora Teagarden mysteries you don't necisseril have to read these in order, and this is the first one I've read. There were a couple of moments where I was unsure about the characters, as a lot of them have quite a few different names, depending on whom is addressing them, but for the most part it was a sweet little book, and I look forward to getting to the next two that I have.

Loved this Daisy Dalrymple mystery! Alec and Daisy are finally married! As they start out their married life, of course, murder can't be far behind. Alec and Daisy are asked to go to America to represent Scotland Yard. The voyage on an ocean liner is anything but calm as passengers keep going overboard, but it is accident or murder? This is probably one of my favorite mysteries so far. There were many characters with different motives and seeing Daisy and Alec as husband and wife now is a bonus. Love the audiobook version of these!

I belong to a mystery book club; for July, we are to read a mystery that takes place on a cruise. Since I enjoy the Carola Dunn series about Daisy Dalrymple, I chose this book.
If you haven't read the previous books in the series, it won't make much difference, as anything you need to know about the characters is worked into the story.
I like the way Carola Dunn writes, and I like all of the recurring characters. Her books make for a pleasant, quick read. Since there's not a lot of blood and gore, these are probably considered cozies.
If you've not read anything in this series and would like to, I suggest you start with the first book and try to read in progression. While not necessary, it does make for a nicer flow with regard to Daisy's personal life.
