My first thoughts were that the book was interesting, I was intrigued and curious about what was going to happen. Then the second part started with the same scenario, sisters; one getting married and more sorcery - and I just got bored. Maybe it gets better? Either way, I didn't want to find out.

The nostalgia is high with this one! I felt like I was 10 years old again reading this. The story itself has some, perhaps unintentionally, hilarious moments and it was a fun read even though a lot didn't really make sense! haha. Looking forward to the next one.

I went into this with low expectations due to the fact I haven’t read a fear street book since I was a teenager, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would’ve liked some information flushed out a little more, like the magic and the Fear v Good family feud, but overall... fun read!

This is a good book. I like how's the plot going from the beginning until the end of the book. The climax relly gives me thrilling sensation. I'm looking forward to read the next book.

You May Now Kill the Bride follows two sets of two sisters from the same family with parallel stories over 90 years apart. In 1924, Ruth-Ann is sick of living in her sister's shadow. Perfect Rebecca can do no wrong in their parents' eyes, and is one of the popular girls in the town, poised to get married to the boy her father has picked out for her and live a rich fulfilled life. But when Rebecca decides to rebel against her father's wishes and betrays Ruth-Ann, the scorned younger sister is determined to make her pay. But at what cost?

In the modern day, Harmony and her family are preparing for sister Marissa's big day. She's marrying childhood sweetheart Doug and everyone couldn't be more excited. Sure, Harmony and Marissa haven't exactly been close the past year, but she wouldn't wish her sister any harm, would she? The night before the big day, strange events start happening, and the family starts to worry that the urban myth of the Fear family curse is true. Just what exactly is going on? And will Marissa make it down the aisle in one piece?

Obviously, R L Stine is very nostalgic to me as I grew up reading Goosebumps and some of his other works. I didn't read any of the Fear Street series, but I figured why not give some of his newer stuff a go. This was kinda disappointing for me. I have those treasured memories of the books I read growing up, and this book was nothing like them.

It started off really strong for me. I was enjoying Ruth-Ann's story, and if the whole book could have been just her story, but gone into more detail, I would have rated this at least 4 stars. I just didn't like any of Harmony's story and I feel like there were a lot of elements that could have been explored more but were just kinda thrown in and forgotten about. For example,
Spoilerthe witchcraft and the curse between the two families, and even the Goode family themselves! Where did they disappear to? I was waiting for a reveal that Aiden was part of the Goode family, but it never came!
Very disappointing!

Overall, not a great book and I won't be reading any more in this series.
