This had been on my TBR for quite a while and finally decided to read it. Not sure why but my friends did not warn me that this book had a virgin which I can't stand in books, and automatically gets a star removed. There is nothing sexy or fun about a first time. It was mentioned way too much too for my taste.

Also the use of baby girl was used way too often, and became annoying. I did like their banter, and there were some funny and cute moments in the book. I liked that Georgie stood up to him when he was wallowing in the loss of his baseball career. The creation of the Just Us League for all the women to come together and focus on their goals, was a good empowering moment.

Delayed picking this one up for some time as I had seen mixed reviews. And whilst it isn’t my favourite by Bailey, it was enjoyable enough.

There was a cute little make-over to transfer Georgie. And it was just so frustrating to see her family continue to treat her like a child (don’t think her brother really shows much growth in this department).

“Let’s the adults talk Georgie”

The chemistry between Georgie and Travis was fun read read. And sweet that they’re able to be themselves around each other.

“He had the urge to confide in her. Wanted to hand her a piece of himself. Because he knew she would take care of it”

A great brief mention of the movie Fear and the Ferris wheel scene.
“But around the one hour mark, the scene happened. The one of the rollercaster”

Miscommunication trope can go in the bin!! Travis even tries to explain the miscommunication to Georgie but her and (mainly) her brother don’t let him explain- resulting in the final act conflict.

“Georgie I’m sorry…Just let me talk to her”.
Despite at doubt paralysing Georgie, her heart shouted at her to run to Travis. Making her cry all the harder. But in the end she let her friends and sister close ranks around her…shielding her from the man who had broken her heart”

One of his issues is that he’s dating his best friends younger sister, and he has a hard time reminding himself/ forgetting her as the little kid who used to hang around. And for that reason, I found it a little jarring that his pet name for her was “baby girl”. Just wish something else less infantile was chosen.

“You don’t listen at all. If you weren’t my sister, I’d probably date you”
Keen to read Bethany’s story.

Cheesy and spicy with the cutest ending! The clown thing threw me off, but I pushed through. I need an epilogue to know how Georgie’s business goes and Travis coaching little league!
