Maybe 5 stars, because it was a really satisfying read. Solid thru line, but the many voices of the party were written well too. Loved the part about our parents giving us a box of things we can take or leave.

I had a weird love for this book. It takes place over the course of a single day but with the added chapters of flashbacks of the characters younger lives in time with the present 24 hours of the Riva party. It’s crazy how TJR books all have little connections. Daisy jones, mick riva, Evelyn Hugo, Carrie Soto, Brandon. I love it. I also just really loved all the back story of Mick. I loved the riva siblings. All except Nina, surprisingly. She just annoyed me for some reason. But I genuinely have never been so invested in a book that didn’t really have plot. Usually those bore me. But I don’t know what it was about this book I just loved it. A few complaints: Nina annoyed me. The ending was underwhelming. I would have liked to know more about what happens to all of them in the future. But I think that’s just because I love the Riva kids and I’m invested now. And I would love to know what’s next for kit and the brothers and Ashley. And what happened with the fire. But yeah it was a really cool book. Nothing like it and I like that.
