I only dip my toe into paranormal/fantasy books every so often but when I find a good one they tend to be great, and boy did this book deliver. There was non stop action and angst. The 3 MCs have so much tension and pull to each other that you can't help but be sucked in. I loved the MMM twist and all the drama, I highly recommend this read.

Lots going on, but other than the physical attraction, I was never sure why they were drawn to each other emotionally.  Also didn't expect a third thrown in (MMM).  Just didn't work for me.

The action was non-stop and the universe was interesting, but I never quite connected with the characters and the romance fell flat.

There is so much action and rescuing. David is an alpha that is having family problems. Trajan is tired of his long life. He finds that David can help with his lonely life. Connor was unexpected. Connor and Trajan have issues to resolve. Through out the story the three of them find balance.

The author has created this great world full of supernatural creatures and in Soulmates, Trajan, David and Connor come together under intense circumstances with varying histories. David's character is a lot of fun with his attitude and openness to be himself. Trajan and Connor are more reserved but just as entertaining in their own ways with all three being very protective.
We start with Trajan becoming bodyguard for David as he's in town for his own version of spring break but it doesn't take long for things to go wrong and they go downhill fast. Whilst trying to figure out who's after them, an attraction and connection begins to develop. What was never on Trajan's radar was seeing Connor again. That takes him and the reader by surprise.
I do love a good nefarious plot and this definitely provides as there is pack politics at play, super secret spies and not knowing who to trust. Trajan and David's relationship plays out quite well with them acting quickly on their attraction but taking the time to think of anything further but when Connor comes into the picture it took me a while to really pick anything up from him, though that may be a well done on his character/job history.
Overall I enjoyed the story/plot of the book and really got into that, and liked the way that the relationship played out and developed.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Soulmates is the first book by this author for me, and whilst it took me a chapter or two to get really drawn in, I was entranced by the clever language usage and the appealing noir/detective story feeling invoked by the writing style, which works so well with the supernatural themes.
I wasn't sure where the author was going with the introduction of a third main character at first; at least for me, I was in the dark as to whether they would be an ally or an enemy.
I can't say much more without spoiling things, as there are a lot threads connected here.
Overall, a sound reading experience, although at times I felt the characters could have used a bit more individuality in regards to their "voice", as they shared a few mannerisms or ways of viewing the world that just edged into repetitive at times.
I'll be searching out more works by this author for sure.

How good is Soulmates? So good I stayed up until 5am devouring it, and even though I'll pay for it all week, I have no regrets. Hot vampire bodyguard/sassy sexy werewolf/mysterious gorgeous you-have-to-read-it-to-find-out. So worth it.

I enjoyed this one.

It's hard to say too much as I don't want to give the plot away

It took me a little bit to get into it, not because there was no action as the action started pretty much right from the start, but the narration style took me a little bit to get used to and we started with Trajan's point of view who is the driest of the bunch.

It helped that the POV changed around the MC's as it gave us a chance to understand each of them and understand their motives a little as we navigated the who was trying to hurt David. By the time of the first POV change I was well and truely hooked. I liked how everything tied together at the end.

I did feel the way they all got together needed a little bit more as it didn't feel organic to me. The banter between the guys was highly entertaining and I can't wait to see what happens in the next one.

I want to thank the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book prior to publication. Although I read this book for free, this review is not influenced by their generosity.

Let's start by saying, I've never read anything by Liv Rancourt prior to reading Soulmates. The basic plot centers on an old vampire taking a babysitting job of a 23-year-old werewolf who's come to town to party for Spring Break. But, the poor old vampire definitely ends up getting more than he bargained for with this babysitting job. Almost immediately, someone tries to kill the werewolf and things start to escalate more and more out of control from there.

As you can imagine, it's not long before the vampire and werewolf start trying to making some wolf-pups. But the vampire's dead ex-boyfriends surfaces, and the three become a thruple.

That's the plot in the most round-about way humanly describable. I would categorize this piece as a romantic thriller. There are definitely enough backstabbers, bombs, and bullets (both normal and silver) flying around this book to keep you entertained.

There are some sex scenes within the book, but they are well placed and well-paced. In other words, the sex doesn't take away from the narrative, which is one of my biggest complaints of MM fiction.

Overall, I definitely think this is a fun book and a good read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romantic thrillers. It's a fun ride filled with a lot of mystery and even a half-god (or not).
