I will start off my saying I probably would have loved this book had I read it when it was originally published in 2011. It has all the fun YA, Sci-Fi, dystopian tropes that were super popular then. I don’t really know how I missed this series, when I was reading all the other ones 😅

I found the writing to be kind of repetitive, but the characters were interesting and the concept is enjoyable. It’s giving Hunger Games, when you know the blonde mmc is definitely going to be end game, and he’s kind of unhinged, but we haven’t really gotten his story yet so we’ll see how it plays out.

I definitely am not gong to rush to continue the series, but I think as the books come in from the library I’ll continue to read. It’s a long series so not sure if I will finish it yet, but it’s fun to go back and see what books you missed growing up & give them a chance! I also am planning to read a different series from this author and wanted to check out this series first.
