I loved how this book immediately throws you right back into the action. I feel as if no time at all had passed since the end of the previous book (I believe it may have only been a couple of hours or so?). I loved being back with Aru and Mini and I especially loved meeting the new characters of Aiden (ok we'd met him in the previous book a bit) and Brynne.

This book taught me a couple of things about a mythology I had no prior knowledge of before starting this series, so I am honestly very grateful for that. The glossary at the back will help out as well if you're confused by some of the names (because I was, sometimes). I highly recommend you pick up these books if you loved any of Rick Riordan's books and if you love learning about mythologies in a fun way!

I have already ordered the third book in this quartet and will hopefully pick it up soon!

I think Song of Death is a fantastic read, and stronger than the first book in the series as it doesn’t need as much world building. It’s still fun, hilarious and full of amazing characters too.

I loved the relationship between Aru and Brynne - it’s well laid out. And the story chose a great way to show that things aren’t always what they same and that there’s always more than one side to a story. It was beautifully done.

4.5 stars and I’m really looking forward to book 3!

I read this! I forgot that I read it! I like it. Maybe not as much as the first one, but definitely enough to keep with the series.

I absolutely love this series so far as it's incredibly well written, has excellent characters, and combines South Asian mythology with a modern sensibility that just fits.

The author, Roshani Chokshi, has the perfect dialogue for the teenage Pandava heroines and Aiden with a wholesome sense of humor that is appropriate for anyone. Listening to the novels, the narrator, Soneela Nankani, delivers the voices of these girls with such sincerity as they take on the challenges from the gods, learn the world is not as simple as it appears, and deal with the angst of their age.

I don't think any book series has gotten me to smile as much as this one. Mini is a personal favorite with her lawful nature, persistent worrying, and fact-ridden concerns about dying in every conceivable way.

En solid og spennende fortsettelse om Aru. Jeg digger karakterene og vennskapet. Det er også mye lun og nerdehumor, love it!

I loved this books just as much as the first one in the series!! The Pandava Quartet is totally a contender for my favorite book series (depending on books 3 and 4, but I’m confident they will be awesome)! I can’t wait until April so I can read the next book!! I wish I had been friends with Aru Shah, Minnie, and Brynne when I was in middle school!!! On top of the fantastical story telling and lovable characters I also really love learning about Hindu mythology! I am in love with this series!
