I would give this 3.5 stars - I love Gaiman's stuff but of all I've read this is the weakest story so far. It's still loads better than a lot of fantasy out there. I'm not a big fan of the 'ordinary lad/lass finds herself in the world of faerie' premise.
Neat story with lovely illustrations. I wonder at it's connection with the novel of the same title?

I saw the movie adaptation of this book a few years back and hated it. Now I can see why because so much of the book was painfully Hollywoodized. But the book is adorable and I somehow wish it was longer. I wanted to linger in that world for just a bit more.
Świetnie się bawiłam czytając te książkę, może gdybym najpierw przeczytała książkę, a potem obejrzała film to ta książka dostałaby nawet 5 gwiazdek, kto wie

This book is a slow descent in the whimsical world of Faerie, following Tristran Thorne on his Journey to find a fallen Star for his “beloved”. His ideas of what is beloved to him changes however as he learns and grows and becomes most confident in the power he truly possesses. To loved and to be loved in return.
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Body horror, Blood
I love this book! The language is beautiful, the plot wonderful. I feel sad I am done with it, and wonder why it took me so long to pick the book up.
