this book really made me cry. My heart sought out to Gavin and cursed Emily to hell for what she did to my hero. But thank God, Emily realized it before it was too late. Therefore, on the read to Pulse #2. ;)

This was the first audiobook that I listened too and I found that I really enjoy listening to audiobooks! I thought this book was not that great because the main character really annoyed me most of the time and the two guys in her life were also super annoying. This book was very addictive which is the reason why I kept listening and I wanted to know what happened to the main character. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this book because it was mainly about the main character complaining and unnecessary drama.

This book is amazing! I loved the chemistry between Gavin and Emily. Anxiously awaiting book 2!

I'm giving this 3 stars... but it feels more like a 2.5, if that.. I'm not sure if I just didn't click with this book or what. Really, I disliked everyone except Gavin and Olivia.. and Olivia is not even the heroine of the story. I think Emily (our MC) is making some pretty dang stupid mistakes and choices, and I didn't find that attractive.

I also found the writing style to be a little confusing. Told in the third person, it would follow Emily completely, and then we would suddenly get a paragraph from Gavin's perspective, then back to Emily for the rest of the chapter. There were no breaks, no warnings, it just felt like a weird, sudden transition. I've had books do that before, mainly follow one character than switch, but usually it involved a chapter break - and the second character would get an entire chapter from their point of view.

All this said, I'm going to request book two from the library. I'm kind of curious to see where this leads - especially since this book comes highly recommended by people who enjoyed Tammara Webber, Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, etc. But if book two doesn't shape up, I'm out.

Holy good lord!! That was just...WOW!! I am so very, very thankful that I waited for the sequel before reading this. It was all the reviews about the ending and now I understand. I have to get [b:Pulse|8608089|Pulse|Julian Barnes|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1329249410s/8608089.jpg|13478360] immediately!! I have to said that while I didn't like Emily's mousy and dependent personality at time (just because I am so opposite), but I really did love her genuine sweetness. Unlike in some other series, the cheating female is cannot be redeemed from her coldness, but in this case, Emily was always good in my eyes. Even when she was semi in the wrong. And Gavin. Oh. My. Good. Lord. That man...that man is just...perfection. Sheer, undeniable perfection. I loved this book, I loved this story, I have no complaints except that I don't want to waste my time writing this review right now because I just want to start book two.

So to sum it up very simply... READ THIS DAMN BOOK PEOPLE!!

While I did enjoy this book, I found Emily a little annoying. Gavin is delish though xxx

4 1/2 Stars!

ARGH…This book was so frustrating and at times exhausting. Basically, it's about a naive young woman- Emily who meets the right guy - Gavin at the wrong time. I don't mind love triangles, but omg, her boyfriend Dillon was a major douche asshat. The story is riveting and I read it fast. Word of advice, make sure you have the 2nd book Pulse, as Collide ends with a cliffhanger.
