I'm used to bind ups so of course I want more. I liked it, felt a lot like the series and I'm glad Xena is getting some love. I randomly found this at the comic book store and had to pick it up.

It's a good story, but it's a little slow-paced, and doesn't, in my opinion, give the background and world-building that would account for that slow pace.

The art is decent but not mind-blowing. I got the first issue in a Humble Bundle, and I'm not sure if I'll continue at this point.

Not my thing. I bought this because the cover artist for one of the alternate covers was a name I recognized, because I had heard a lot about Xena (though had not watched it when it was on TV), and because this was issue #1, so if it turned out to be something I enjoyed, I would be getting in at the beginning.

Sadly, this risk didn't pay off for me, but I think that says more about my tastes as a reader than about the quality of this issue.
