Love, loss, & lies.

Plot or Character Driven: Plot

This book was so far fetched, but I couldn’t stop reading. The perfect beach or pool day read!

So the middle of The Lies That Bind was really great. The first portion was so riddled with late nineties/early aughts references it seemed like someone was trying to win a decade themed Bingo game ("I put on my Juicy Couture velour pajamas and spritzed my new scent, Clinique Happy..." etc.). And the end was just so mushed together and so far-fetched. But like I said - the middle was great!

Mediocre plot.

Well.....just finished reading some reviews of this book and now doubting myself for enjoying it so much!!! But I did. I just wanted to keep reading to see what the heck would happen next.
The ending felt very rushed after most of the book covered less than one year!!
But....call me a sappy romantic, I liked it.

What a wild ride! This book was decently written, but the plot was all over the place. I gave it 4 stars because it kept me flipping the pages, but the last portion of the book had me scratching my head and mumbling expletives.
