-Well I can say that at first while reading some things gave me the ick and made me roll my eyes a couple of times
The insanely god amount that Wolf says "careful bla bla bla" made me cringe.
At first, it was like ooooh sexy but he kept repeating it over and over to the point I physically rolled my eyes when he said it
-how is she a trained assaisan since she was 13 or smth and still have shit to learn or once she loses her weapon which she gained recently suddnly she can't fight??
- " he stared down at me with a twinkle of amusement in his electric eyes" Girl sybau you just met him yesterday
-" I thought about telling lord but what was I going to say? That I let a fallen angel save my life? That I needed help out there against vampires?". So how are you gonna convince me that she's so mindwashed by lord that he literally beats and punishes her regularly and she thinks it's all for her good but can hide from him the fact that she met a whole fallen angel?? Make it make sense
- The whole thing about the trials to enter the city being deadly and all wasn't as brutal as I expected tbh. I mean it just felt like they were in the military with the whole classes and trainings thing with sometimes a couple of dudes dying maybe.
-So overall this felt like a cheap copy or badly written version of Blood of Hercules with the whole objective of entering the golden city or being immortal and all ,only that Blood of Hercules is way better.
So I think it deserves the 3-star review I mean it wasn't really bad the I dnf or good that I'm impressed but I can say that it ended in a cliff hanger that made me a little curious about the next book so I will read it and hope it's better than the first book

This book was extremely fast paced to where I almost felt like it was jumping through time to get to the end. Huntyr is another Celaena Sardothien in this world full of rotten walking corpses - the vampyres. One day they weren’t all like this, they could control their blood lust and live average lives, now they’re known as the hungry ones. Huntyr was raised to slay these vampyres and to keep Lord proud, or else. She leaves to enter a violent academy to enter The Golden City where she’ll learn magic and become the ultimate weapon… until she meets Wolf. The gorgeous fallen angel who will do anything and kill anyone to keep her alive. Or is it all just a rouse?
