Crush It! was the book that I didn't know I needed. The book is about building a personal brand through social media; however, Vaynerchuk approaches this from the mindset that, in today's world, everyone needs to build a personal brand. He discusses which mediums to use and which websites to go through all in a very succinct manner. The only thing I would have preferred to read more about is the way to manage your personal brand without any specific ~trope~ or "catch" that requires having a specific thing to talk about. Also, perhaps a little more about building a visual aesthetic or personal style. Otherwise... this book was amazing!

This book has a very simple message. Do what you love and work hard at it. The advice isn't novel and some things I disagree with however if you need really easy motivation this is a really great audiobook. Gary has great charisma and his excitement radiates from his voice it was really enjoyable and motivating to hear him speak. It's also very short and to the point which I very much appreciate.

I don't want to give this one a rating;
I feel like it's outdated. If i have read it when it was first published maybe i'd like it.. maybe.

Interesting to see how much has changed and yet how the foundation stays the same.
The book is obviously outdated now and that is to be expected but I don't think it would have been a great read before as well.

My man Gary talks about letting yourself be real with yourself, true to your word, focus on your strengths and ignore your weaknesses. Nobody gets me more pumped about living life than this guy and a few other people. Highly encourage anybody who is into self-improvement to look into Gary's work
