I don't usually log mangas I read on goodreads but I decided to do it because why I shouldn't? I will just log the last volume of each series, taking the whole series as one whole book.

Pluto is a 10/10 story from the beginning untill the end. The themes Urasawa choose for his stories are always thought-provoking. The way he presents his stories feels so human and moving all the time and I think, Pluto is one of his works in which he mastered his craft.

Well, that was a ride! I quite liked Gesicht's detective storyline, but I suppose that was a strong plot element of the series, with Astro himself rather sidelined. The Professor Tenma angle was quite interesting too, and although there were elements of the original story, Pluto really did its own thing, though it seemed like parts of other Astro episodes were pulled in.
Effective and evocative art, especially the cityscapes.

Nearly perfect as endings go! I'm eager to read the original story in Astro Boy. Urasawa did a great job of bringing a golden age story into a modern context. You can feel the weight of 2005 global politics bearing on this and the pull of postmodernity.
