Not sure if this was a 'me problem', but this did not hold my attention and I was bored to tears most of the book.
Was this book a masterpiece? No. Does it have a lot of ridiculous tropes and plot points shoved into one book? Yes. Did this book have me questioning my sanity? Multiple times? Did I devour it and enjoy it? Absolutely.
Our plot basis is, a female tattoo artist finds herself being chased by her fellow tattoo artist coworker, a client who is a member of and poised to become the head of an MC, and now, a stalker who stalks and unalives women.
First off, this gives me den of vipers vibes. A hot mess, a plot that's kinda all over the place. A FMC who for some reason every single male wants to own, and a lot of darker topics tropes and kinks, but again, I absolutely devoured it.
The main plot twist was predictable. But the story kept me wondering what was gonna happen next. The spice is next level hot, but also again, had me questioning my sanity.
If you want a dirty fun read that takes you for a wild ride, this book is for you. But check trigger warnings, cause it's dark.

For all the friends who love a good stalker romance, this one did it so dang well. I was a bit nervous to read this one because of the reviews, but I’m so glad I didn’t allow it to deter me.
Kyah was such a powerful FMC. She was smart, talented, and didn’t take crap from anyone. I loved watching her find her footing in this book.
You definitely want to check your trigger warnings on this one. It’s pretty dark and would upset the wrong crowd for sure. But if you can get past the TW, you’ll have fun with this read!!

There was something for everyone in this book. Stalker, obsession, spice, and romance. I couldn’t get enough. I felt the author had good pacing, some surprising plot twists, and gave me the right amount of crazy. It was everything I needed.

I'm not sure exactly what it was about this one, but it was just meh. It felt like the author was just throwing in tropes and smut scenes, with a bunch of possessive dudes obsessed with the FMC, and hoping it all washed out in the end. Also, the spoiler as to who Reid was was obvious the first time we met him, to the point I was questioning if we'd get a surprise twist of it being someone else because it was so obvious.
Also, once she discovered who he was, she was barely even conflicted. Like c'mon, let's at least have a smidgen of drama and turmoil here, instead of caving like a house of cards in a single conversation.
I felt like the stalker/murderer portion was relied upon way too heavily to categorize this as dark romance. It was closer to a mafia romance for the level of spice and minor kinks... just without the mafia ties.
Also, once she discovered who he was, she was barely even conflicted. Like c'mon, let's at least have a smidgen of drama and turmoil here, instead of caving like a house of cards in a single conversation.

I finished it tonight. I’m not sure how I feel. Spicy was good. Story…meh. It took me a while to get into it. Even the bf was like “just quit”
This is fiction, on the blurb you will realize what the MMC is.
You don't understand how a woman would accept a serial killer because you would never accept that, and that's normal. But it also means that you should not read a book that has a serial killer as the love interest.
It's not fair to the author when people read tropes that they can't stomach or accept, and the result is a bad review based on their disgust for the trope.
Your subjective input should be reserved for tropes that you enjoy.
Now, to my opinions on the story:
The FMC has a magical vagina that every man around her wants it.
She's annoying and her inner monologue was annoying most of the time.
3 men want her, plus her stalker, who loves to kill women and wants to kill her.
"I'm going to fall in love with you Kyah. A week or a month from now. It will happen." That's from one of the 3 men who wants her. I might be a pessimist, but I can't see a man saying that.
The FMC spends half of the book trying to figure out her feelings or desires for three different guys, and because of that I didn't feel a connection between the FMC and the MMC, it's all superficial and physical.
Even when she says she loves him, I don't see it.
Other than that, it's an okay story.
They have a twisted role-play thing going and it works for them.
At least she was good for him and had a positive effect on his killer tendencies.

This book is heavy on the steamy scenes and obsession but low on character development of the FMC. The MMC was definitely sick, but his changing obsession with the FMC was hot and kept things interesting. It was a quick and fun read if your into the dark and depraved side of romance.

I was going to give this book 4 starts based on slow pacing, but the last 4 chapters TOTALLY MADE UP FOR THE PACING I was smiling like a teenager seeing her crush I was kicking my feet ugh I hate how fucked up I am for loving this book
