I thought that because this book was so short that I would have it finished in an hour. Didn't happen. I would have to step away from it to think about what I had just read. May need to read it again to contemplate again. Odd little book. Different way to think about the darkness and disruption of grief. Also an unusual but interesting realization of how grief becomes a part of your life.

I’m not sure what to rate this book as it is unlike anything I’ve read in a long, long while. This reads like a lucid dream of grief written in poetry and prose. It feels subjective, something that I could rate one star or 5 stars depending on my mood.

Beautiful as grief comes in all shapes and sizes, and it’s experienced rather differently. The passages were a bit confusing but I’m imagining grief can make you feel disoriented with life.
I can’t really tell how long Crow was there for. Time seemed to run differently in the novel.
