Anne and Gilbert marry and move to their little dream house. Lots of interesting characters, really loved it.
While I really liked some of the new characters in the book, like Cornelia and Captain Jim, I disliked how much Anne has changed from the previous books. Of course, she is grown up and married now, but I would have liked to see her at least continue to be a writer.

Anne and Gilbert are married at last and they move away from Green Gables to the little town of Four Winds on Prince Edward Island, Canada. (Oh Anne and Gilbert, all married and cute. ^_^) Four Winds introduces many new faces, including a kind old sea captain, a cantankerous old maid, and a sorrowful young married woman, all of whom Anne and Gilbert come to love dearly. Anne also gives birth to her first and second children.
As with the other books, Montgomery never constructed a central plot. Each of the books has been a collection of small side stories that bring together the life of Anne (and Gilbert) as a whole, and while the stories are entertaining and well-written, it leaves the reader wondering what the book is ABOUT. The books are entertaining but just not that exciting or captivating. Anne isn’t teaching or writing, just keeping house for Gilbert and visiting with her neighbors. The old sparkle of “what is Anne going to get up to next” is missing because Anne doesn’t get up to a single scrape or mischief. Even still, I liked the book and liked to see Anne and Gilbert happily married and teasing each other.

Once upon a time this little book got left behind. It spent several months alone inside a dusty, dark cupboard. Then one day light filtered into the dark cupboard and a hand reached out. It cradled the old book and gave it a much needed clean before placing it alongside the person's other beloved books. Now this little book spends its days making pleasant conversation with its new bookish friends and watches over the books who have newly joined its bookshelf family.
The END
So as the story goes I found this book after moving into my new house. I was supposed to read this for the Booktubeathon . . . but as you can see I didn't. I decided to read this book in order to challenge myself because I don't usually pick up classics. I got through the first 50 pages, but after that I read along with the audiobook.
This is the fifth book in 'Anne of Green Gables' so I didn't know most of the characters aside from Anne (has not read the other books), but the book was quite enjoyable and the characters which were introduced were very interesting people. I think I loved the relationships that formed between the characters the most.

I loved this. I laughed, I cried, and I felt so much. This really made up for Anne of Windy Poplars
