It felt a little cringe trying to be "dark and edgy" at times. Some characters were forgettable, like they did nothing for the plot, some were annoying as fuck (Karen I'm looking at you) but others were nice and lovable. The ending redeemed the book for me, I think it was a "nice" ending.

TRIGGER WARNING : This book is not for everyone because its main focus is suicide as well as assisted suicide.

This was emotional & heart wrenching journey! The book follows 12 people who wish to experience a week or two on a bus with other like-minded people who are done on this earth before ultimately driving off a California cliff together. Throughout the novel, the riders journal their reasoning for wanting to end their life and their thoughts as the trip moves along. It was so interesting, yet heartbreaking to hear about everyone’s backstories and what happened in their lives to lead them to this point.

I quite literally couldn’t put this book down and finished in a day. The characters are memorable and the storyline was written so well.

a very absurd little book. obviously some very heavy subjects, but laced with enough humour and loveliness to make them somewhat palatable.
