Pippa Grant not only writes giggle inducing stories, but also ones that pull at your heartstrings. The Worst Wedding Date shows two opposites, who are way more alike than they knew, realizing that they're perfectly imperfect together.
Oh Theo! You can't help but fall for him. He's charming, hilarious, and just an amazing human. Theo hides his struggles underneath his easy-going ways. He needs validation and love just like everyone else, but most of his life people treated him like a screw up. This man is full of surprises! From his side hustle to hobbies, his love of kittens to his cookie baking skills. But most of all, what he truly wants out of life. Love. True, messy, soul consuming love.
Delaney is the habitual good girl and she's sick of it. Always being known to follow the rules and never having any fun has finally taken its toll on her. She just wants to be free to be whoever she wants and do what she wants. Her parents have placed impossibly high expectations on her. I love watching her stick up for not only herself, but Theo too. Laney comes out of her shell and it's beautiful!
These two start out as enemies, but quickly realize how much they actually like one another. I love how Theo helps her discover herself and how Laney shows him that he really is a good man. Be prepared to laugh and smile throughout this book!

Das Buch war einfach ein sehr humorvoller Unfall und das meine ich in sehr positiven Sinne.
Irgendwie witzig was dort alles abgeht und bei ein paar Sachen würde man wohl eher wegschauen, aber so nicht hier man muss wissen was als nächstes passiert.
Es war mein erstes Buch der Autorin aber bestimmt nicht mein letztes, vor allen will ich den nächsten Teil auch lesen und hoffe dass dieser genauso unterhaltsam ist.
Delaney hilft ihrer besten Freundin Emma mit ihrer Hochzeit auf Hawaii. Womit sie nicht gerechnet hätte den Babysitter für Theo zu spielen, der Bruder von Emma. Auf den ersten Blick könnte man meinen er nimmt nichts ernst im Leben und würde immer Chaos verbreiten.
Theo ist nicht begeistert das Delaney auf ihn aufpassen soll, aber Delaney ist hartnäckig da sie auch sehr pflichtbewusst ist. Da die beiden in der Zeit auch zusammen in einem Apartment Wohnen kommen sie sich unweigerlich näher.
Dabei stellt Delaney fest Theo ist ganz anders, er tut alles das Emmas Hochzeit funktioniert, denn einige Vorbereitungen scheinen nicht glatt zu laufen. Aber auch Delaney lernt mit der Zeit das leben zu genießen und auch mal Spaß zu haben.
Man merkt zwar das es schon eine gewisse Anziehung zwischen den beiden gibt, aber sie verlieben sich nicht Hals über Kopf.
Sie lernen sich kennen und sehen hinter der Fassade des anderen.
Ich fand die Geschichte unterhaltsam und schön und mir sind beide Charaktere sehr an Herz gewachsen.
Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den nächsten Band.

Das Wildschwein hat nämlich nicht nur mehr Rhythmus als mein Ex, es hat scheinbar auch eine soziale Ader und lässt die beiden für sich. Vielleicht trifft das den Humor von einigen. Aber I'm too old for this shit.

This was my first book by Pippa Grant, but it definitely won’t be my last! I absolutely loved it—it was funny, romantic, and so entertaining. It did take me a little while to adjust to her unique writing style, but once I got the hang of it, I was completely hooked.
I never thought I’d enjoy reading a romance book with a cat’s POV, but this one changed my mind! It was such a different experience, and honestly, I loved it. Delaney's insecurities were so relatable, and I admired how supportive Theo was throughout the story. The way both characters grew individually and as a couple was heartwarming.
The small-town gossip mill was a riot—everyone was in everyone else's business, and it made for some truly hilarious moments. As for Chandler, he was a walking red flag, and I couldn't stand him from the very beginning. But the ending? So satisfying and absolutely hilarious!
Overall, I loved this book and can’t wait to read more by Pippa Grant. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract tropes, and just the right amount of spice!

Schon von der ersten Seite an war ich begeistert von der Handlung, seinen Protagonisten und dem Schreibstil. Der Klappentext gibt einen guten ersten Überblick der Geschichte. Sie überzeugt allgemein mit vielen überraschenden und originellen Elementen. Das lernt man schon direkt im ersten Kapitel und ich kann nicht behaupten, dass ich nicht neugierig auf die weiteren Bücher der Autorin bin. Die Figuren konnten mich auch alle überzeugen. Laney ist unglaublich sympathisch und liebenswert und Theo ist erfrischend witzig und chaotisch. Laney hat da einiges zu tun, um ihn ruhig zu halten. Natürlich ist bei diesem Gegensatz auch eine gesunde Portion Enemies-to-Lovers vorhanden. Das Buch nimmt sich selbst nicht so ernst und will vor allem unterhalten. Jede Seite bietet dabei eine neue Überraschung und durch eine gute Menge wörtlicher Reden und kurzen/knappen Beschreibungen liest sich der Roman auch super schnell. Mich hat hier wirklich die perfekte Lektüre gefunden und sie ist super für jeden, der lockere Unterhaltung und gute Lacher sucht!
Mein Fazit: Es ist ein Buch, dass den Leser zum Lachen bringen will und meinen Humor perfekt treffen konnte. Von mir kann es daher nur die volle Punktzahl geben.

There were a lot of random moments that were off the wall. Or random facts thrown in that just caught me off guard. But it was a fun and entertaining read. Forced proximity, best friends brother, enemies to lovers. Theo was such a sweetheart/ tattooed bad boy. His secret was a funny twist. Lainey did well being put in the babysitting job. The triplets were a bit immature at times. Didn’t like Emma’s fiancé, Chandler, from the start. Sabrina was fun!!
