Was this book well written? No. Did I love it? Absolutely. This series, how weird and sappy and bad as it is, remains one of my favorites to read.

Had SO much fun being in Christian's head! I laughed a lot in spite of the sad moments. EL did a great job with this one!

Much more than just an erotic novel

I think I actually loved this book more than reading it from Ana's perspective. This provided insight into how Christian became the man he is but also how when we least expect it, individuals can walk into our lives and change it for the better. Excellent read! Hoping the story will continue to be told from Christians view point.

Breathtaking, dazzling.

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

It was nice to see the story from his perspective.

I don't understand all the haters out there. The only reason to read this book is because you were captivated by the original series. If you didn't like the original series, why are you wasting time trashing this book?

Anyway, I enjoyed this book but only gave it 4 stars because I'm ticked it only covered the first book. There wasn't much new to discover about Christian even when the original series was written in Ana's voice but I did enjoy getting a better glimpse into his world and his damaged pysche and how wounded he was when Ana left.

I enjoyed the book and hope there are others but I don't enjoy all the EL James bashing. However, bash away because she'll just keep laughing all the way to the bank.

The series is a lot more enjoyable from Christian's perspective. The themes of childhood trauma and moving past it are interesting.

Obviously everything about the relationship is toxic, and the sex scenes are laughably fake. But it's not awful.
