One of those “I didn’t say it was good, I said that I liked it” reads
fast-paced

Reading this POV was a part of me realising i'm a lesbian.

It was just so repetitive with the first novels couldn’t read any further and honestly was gonna put me in a reading slump

It reads like the others. If you enjoyed the other books you will enjoy this one. If you didn't like the others, it won't come as much of a shock that this is written in the same manner. It was interesting to read it from "his" perspective, but this is definitely not how I see a guy looking at this. Realistically, you can tell this was written by a woman, and that's troublesome since it is being told from Christian's POV.

E.L James has put an interesting twist on the trilogy; I found the book thoroughly interesting and could not put this down. I finished this within three days. The way James has allowed us to see into the mind of Christian Grey is intriguing and if he was to release further editions I would happily buy.
One of the best books I have read this year.

Summary of the whole review : It was okay.

I don't know if it's because it's Christian Grey's POV or the fact that the book was more detailed, but I definitely feel like it slightly improved. The book itself fits in between Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker. In my opinion, it would've been better if they released it in between the two books.

Grey's mind is interesting. It's full of commerce, finance, Ana and dirty thoughts. I didn't enjoy it that much but it was funny to me that that was all he thought about. Although I say yes to more French! I love it when fictional characters push me to learn or speak a language. I think the highlight of this book for me is just getting to know his side more. More of what he was thinking and how his world works. And I like the ending, it was appropriate and suitable. I kept the rating in the middle because some parts were dragging on and too slow sometimes annoying even but I still enjoyed reading it.
