This book draws you in as you walk with Maddie on her journey through love, heartbreak, grief, family, and finding herself.

This book really hit for me. I laughed, I cried and most of all I related. It was raw and at times hard to keep going and I didn’t want Maddie’s story to end and this one will still with me for some time to come. It hits on so many important coming of age themes and I’m so happy I decided to pick this up and read it.

Not always beautifully written or polished, but raw, real and honest story. Highly recommend

I really liked this one! Another good pick from Jenna's book Club. I really enjoy the coming of age stories that focus on every day life and this did just that.

This was a well done coming-of-age story, with important thru lines of obligation, race, and googling answers to life's important questions. Somehow, this didn't do a lot for me. I think I would have liked it better if I read it in my 20s.
