AHHH I loved this book. It’s definitely a contender for my favorite of the year. The story is so complex and definitely gives Black Mirror energy. Also, the last section of the book got me a lot more emotional than I was expecting.

Loved this concept and the first few chapters. Unfortunately, I lost interest the more I read and it really dragged towards the end.

For a book that really tries to frame itself as a character drama, the characters are ultimately unsatisfying in many ways. While I understand the idea of indeterminacy is essential to this novel, I think there's a difference between resolving a moment in a character's life while leaving their future open and and sort of dropping their thread because they're non longer essential to the story. I'm not sure if that makes sense. There were some interesting and enjoyable elements, but overall the novel lacked finesse.

I really liked this, but I wish I had not listened to the audiobook. Not because it was bad or anything. I think the length in conjunction with the very real feeling content was just difficult for me to stay engaged with as an audio.
