This is a tough one to parse my thoughts on. It’s a novel I don’t know how to discuss. It’s a novel I don’t think I should rate. It’s a wonderful experience, it’s a challenging one because it challenges what a story’s shape is supposed to look like. It’s a difficult one to recommend, and yet something that moved me to reflect on my own experiences.

It’s beautiful. It’s difficult. It was worth the journey.

Might just be me, but I was pretty confused by this…interesting but mostly confusing. Could have done with less details about the setting and more details about what was actually happening.

Half-baked idea that's so original you can't help but love the unsatisfied mess it is. Beautifully written with a plot that's both confusing to follow and not well-thought out. A solid debut, I await for what Harkin has to write next.

Interesting premise. Made me think a lot about how our experiences and memories shape us. I liked the characters overall and the storyline. Didn’t blow me away, but I enjoyed listening. Great narrator on the audiobook.

A little different to my usual genre, this story explores troubling memories and questions whether you, as with the characters, would remove your memory of them.

This is a book that made me think, I connected with the characters on a basic level and enjoyed reading something a little out of the ordinary.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
