Definitely reminds me of the Mindf^*k Series but not so similar as to make it a dupe. Great book and looking forward to reading more by this author! I love female serial killer books!! 🔪🩸

Thank you to NetGalley and S.T Ashman for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

I found myself loving Leah pretty early on as she reminded me of my girl Lana Myers from The Mindfuck Series. This entire book reminded me of that series, and that’s a big compliment! A book about female serial killers always wins for me.

The writing in this book was amazing. The book is written in a dual POV, with Leah and the FBI agent Liam. Leah’s POV was written in 1st person and Liam’s in 3rd person. This difference made the whole book. Reading the POV of a serial killer in 1st person made it a lot more personal and I really felt like I was inside her head. This made me understand how her mind works and made me love her even more.

The pacing was perfect. I read the entire book in 1 sitting and I never once got bored and wanted a break from reading.

The only reason this wasn’t a 5-star read for me was the ending. I thought it was a little bit anticlimactic, but there’s gonna be a sequel so I’m crossing my fingers it’s gonna make me change my mind about the ending!

If you love The Mindfuck Series like I do, you'll most likely enjoy this book!

Really quality premise, love that it’s a FMC as a killer - reminiscent of the mindfuck series. It’s a first book so I give 3.5 but I will definitely continue the series.

I loved the concept for this book immediately and it drew me in. Leah is a world renound pianist and also rids the world of bad people in her free time. Leah is autistic and from a young age, has been able to not feel emotions like normal. This trait allows her to take care of what she needs to and is meticulous about making sure she doesn't leave enough evidence to where she is caught.
Liam is an FBI agent that can't let things go. He is currently going through a divorce and custody battle but he is a good cop. When he comes upon one of the most gruesome crime scenes he has ever seen, he has a feeling that things just aren't what they seem. He digs deeper and deeper until he starts to unravel the truth, even if no one believes him.
I had different expectations of this book and I think that it took away from what I was hoping for with the outcome. The twists and turns a the end were absolutely crazy though and it sets us up for another book, which I have to say, I need.
