I don’t usually read or listen to horror but I wanted to give this one a try. It creeped me out just enough that I couldn’t listen at night which was a shame because I didn’t want to stop listening.
Vera and her night and day relationships with both of her parents was hard to listen to at times, and completely heartwarming at others.
The suspenseful, scary, and gory content was just the right amount for me to not give up of finishing the book. That being said, this book is not for the faint of heart. The author did an excellent job of describing things in just the right amount of detail to make my hairs stand up on end or my skin crawl.
