I feel like I missed something here… this book was profoundly boring to me! I love some good world-building but this droned on and on. The character development was minimal and I just couldn’t seem to care about anyone in the story. I’m so disappointed! I have enjoyed other work by French, but this just didn’t do it for me.

I know life can be like thag but still disappointing ending. I want my fiction books to give me the justice the world deserves, not what is real. If I want real, I just switch on the TV news.
