I finished this book for two reasons. 1. I wanted to know if the ghost was really a ghost. spoiler it wasn't. 2. I wanted Enzo to get eaten by a shark. spoiler he doesn't.
Honestly, Enzo and Sawyer made me mad and uncomfortable. I found myself repeatedly dropping my jaw, aghast at the crap he'd say to her and how she was somehow still into him? I literally wanted this man to die from the moment he showed up. Sawyer, I at least understand why she was the way she was. She was much easier to empathise with. Enzo? Oh, your mommy left you with the nuns?? You're a piece of shit to women because you have mommy issues? Literally, stfu.
I honestly couldn't believe that after the little scuffle with Sylvester, they just left him in the cellar and went to bone in the caves. And then proceeded to lock themselves in his house and continue boning. Like can ya'll get your priorities straight, please? You're potentially being haunted by an angry ghost in chains, there's a creepy pervy old man with a peg leg and a shotgun on the loose on his island and y'all are just...fuckin. I hate them both lmfao.
I was incredibly disappointed with the ending. I wanted actual justice for Kacey. Not Sawyer, just getting away with everything and stealing another person's identity--this time, a (probably)abused girl who committed suicide. I felt like the end was very anticlimactic. I wanted to see Kacey like get off the island and get help. Not sacrifice herself for Enzo of all people. Also, now Sawyer is trapped with that POS for the rest of her life. So, GREAT.

I’m still not sure what I read. I loved every page but still processing it all. It was dark at times, bizarre at others. LOVED Zade… I mean Za… I mean daddy…. I mean Enzo.
