This was such a fun and entertaining read. So much that I was laughing, snorting my way through the entire book.

“I’m marrying off my cousin to a horse,” -
and that's how the book starts.

This book is a Tudor retelling during the young King Edward's reign, set in the sixteenth century. And this historical retelling has everything you'd need; from interesting plot to the mystery and suspense it contains, which might be a little bit obvious but with it's constant witty humor and puns & the drama, it gets even more fun to read. And the most important, it has magic in it. Or rather magical people, E∂ians, who possess the ability to change into an animal form (Half Human, Half Animal!) which only some people have. So this is the real story of Lady Jane Grey, the one that was hidden all this while. And even though I had not much idea of history I can definitely say that this retelling was a great one. I can't wait to read the next book in The Lady Janies series, My Plain Jane and our Jane in this retelling is Jane Eyre this time. But before that I should probably (definitely) read Jane Eyre so I would have some idea of how much the story is changed in the retelling.

A different take on historical fiction. Some ideas in this were a bit outrageous, but it worked. It dragged on a bit in the second half and the ending just felt too easy. Was there ever any fighting? 🤨

I LOVE this book!!! I cannot think of a book that had me laughing this much in a long time! It was an adorable love story! I definitely prefer this take on history!! Magic and the Tudors are an amazing combination!! I was shocked that this had multiple authors. At first I was afraid that I was in for questionable writing. Instead it was superb. It flowed and contained one voice! This book was incredible and I am so happy that I read it!

"She'd been holding a knife at his throat moments ago. She was a stranger. She was a woman who wore pants. She couldn't be trusted."

Wow. This was amazing. [b:My Lady Jane|22840421|My Lady Jane (The Lady Janies, #1)|Cynthia Hand|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1444923765s/22840421.jpg|42397220] is the perfect, light, fluffy, funny historical retelling; it's funny, especially with the narrating, which I thought was a nice touch. I really have no complaints!

This was such a cute little YA romance with a hint of fantasy. I really enjoyed this one.
