Great addition to the movie. This really focuses on Schindler's perspective, and his journey from war profiteer to a war profiteer who used his position to save lives and reduce loss of human life. It fills out the stories we see in the movie, and provides more context for the interrelationships of those who ended up on the list. It is quite beautiful in how the author has taken first-hand accounts and woven together the accounts from the perspective of the Jewish people. In certain passages it felt like I was sitting at a kitchen table, hearing about the lives of my own neighbours, acquaintances, hearing how these community members each tried to survive this terrible part of history, and ultimately be forever connected by Schindler, and the list.
